Surfing with Lapoint

I recently went surfing for the first time in my life

I took a two week lesson with Lapoint in Bali and I thought it was absolutely great

I loved the place we stayed at, the people I met, the food, and just everything about bali and the surf camp

I really enjoyed surfing, it was a bit harder than I expected at first

And during the second week when we took a boat further into the ocean

I got a little bit scared… lol

But overall It was one of the best experiences of my life, I definitely recommend!!

Can it get any better

Can it get any better

I don´t really have any words, life is just so good

I feel thankful everyday for the opportunity to be in a beautiful country, feeling healthy, doing yoga

but mostly that I got to meet the most amazing people

The pictures are from saturday night in Heraklion, we went to a roof top restaurant and stalked people from above;))

Brunch and vegan pancakes

Brunch with friends

Here are some pictures from a brunch me and my friends put together

Almost everything is vegan

I was the only one vegan their, but it just comes to show

how easy it is to prepare vegan food

I made the pancakes, they are really easy and don´t take a lot of time

They are so easy i often make them every day

(which is perhaps not ideal but what ever, haha)

Here is the recipe, if you want to try them out…

2 cups flour (you can use gluten free)

1 tsp baking powder

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 vegan eggs (you could probably use banana or apple sauce to)

2 cups plans based milk

I just combine everything together and cook them on a pan with a little bit of coconut oil:)

If im making pancakes just for me I like to make one big one….

Then I just use 1/4 of the ingredient list above:))

Happy new year!!

Happy new year!!!

2016 has been a great year but I can´t wait to start 2017

I can´t wait to make new memories, visit new countries and achieve new goals

It´s good to set goals

I like to wright mine down, it makes them more visible

Another tip is to always talk about your goals like you have already achieved them or will achieve them

It´s something I learned when learning about the law of attraction

By talking about your goals as achievements

it´s more likely that you will achieve them later on

Hope you had a great NYE!!

Vegan Sugar Cookies

Vegan Sugar Cookies

This is my first christmas fully vegan, first of January will be my one year vegan anniversary:)

It has never been hard to be vegan and it´s definitely not harder to cook or bake vegan food than non vegan food.

Here is a sugar cookie recipe that I really like…

ps: you can easily make them gluten free by using gluten free flour.

You will need:

2 cups flour

1/8 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking powder

3/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup apple sauce

1/2 tsp vanilla extract (you can also use almond extract)

1/4 cup vegan butter

egg replacement for one egg

You start of by mixing the dry ingredients together and the wet ingredients together

Then mix everything together and let it sit in the fridge for one hour

Roll the dow out and cut out your cookies then finally place them in the oven for 8-10 minutes on 180° celsius

As easy as that!

For the frosting I just mixed together some powdered sugar and a tiny bit of water

Hope you like them

Vegan Makeup?

I have been vegan or “plant based” as some might call it for more than 8 months now.  I found it easy to give up the food and non ethical stuff but when it comes to makeup it´s harder, not because I am attached to my old makeup but because I find it to confusing.

I want to be 100% honest and tell you that just a few minutes ago I thought that the makeup I just purchased (The makeup you see above) was vegan. I researched the company before I bought it but I must have miss read the post or the blog gave incorrect information about MUA because now when I´m trying to find links to list below I see that some of their ingredients may have been derived from an animal source.

The good thing is that the company is cruelty-free, they do not test their products on animals and don´t sell them in china.

I still wanted to make this post to show that if you try your best there is nothing more you can do.                 I much rather prefer to support companies like MUA that are cruelty free than to support companies that aren´t. Im still going to use my products but I’m just going to try harder next time.

The products are inexpensive, high quality and so far I really like them, especially the PRO-BROW.

Would you call it a workout?

idycdgI´m a very active person but I have to admit that my fitness routine over the past three weeks has been very little. I feel like the heat sucks all of my energy out. I thought I knew what it meant to sweat, but apparently not… after a 40 min run up stairs and hills, in 35°heat, wearing ankle length sports leggings (I don´t know what I was thinking), I know what it feels like to sweat!! After that run I stuck to less active but active activities like paddle boarding, go kart, walking, and shopping, though Im not sure you could call that a workout.

I´m wearing:

A sports top from Decathlon

Shorts from HM

Hello world!

Hi, Im María and this apparently is my blog…

So where to begin (it´s honestly a little bit overwhelming) I have wanted to create a real blog for quite some time now. I have bean experimenting with Wix and Weebly but I thought it was time to get real. My mind likes to wonder and create art, I know that might sound weird but my projects always start with a visual picture in my head. I am very passionate about photography, designing (fashion designing in particular) and veganism and thats what I want to share with you plus some other cool things as well.

Im honestly not sure whats going to happen or where my ideas might lead but I’m curious to find out.

Hope you like what ever nonsense I come up with

xoxo – María Sól
